Stripped Bolt Removers
Hey guys,
Stripped a header nut. I heard about the craftsman set, what do you guys think about it? Is it good quality? The nut I stripped is only lightly rounded, I bet it would work right? Please give your feedback about this, or any similar product that I can buy early in the morning. WAIT, does Walmart carry the stripped bolt remover sets?

its called a bolt out and you can get it from sears. i had my doubts but the bolt i stripped came out super easy. i recomend it. just make sure you have an adjustable wrench or big sockets because the bolt out things are not sockets they are adapters. header bolts are 12 mm right i dont know if they have one that size.

Craftsman makes a set specifically for this purpose. They are called bolt extractors and the sets do not run cheap but omg are they quality ****. They have them at sears by the sockets. They come in a red case. You have to use a chart to figure out the size you need but i recommend buying the whole set. These extractors are really nice and who knows when youll need them again. They look exactly like a regular socket but they have waved ridges. If you need more info post what you need and Ill help out anyway I can.

Well thanks, Ill be looking for the red case, cuz you know what? Nearly ever damn bolt I've touch that pertains to my exhaust is either rusted all to hell, easy to strip, or seized like a ****! And I am only about half way done with all the bolts I need to remove
Thanks guys! Red case, Ill go get it right now, even though I have to be at work in 20 minutes..

I just bought the craftsman set. Needed it bad, so went to sears and paid $50 something for it. Has about 9 sockets, and a punch. Works on hand ratchets and impacts. I was a little frustrated, I had to shell out some money like that, but damn, after using this on maybe... 5, 6 bolts.. with a ratchet. I'm astounded.. I'll post a review soon, gonna try it with the impact as well.
