i installed a chip with 9500 red line but i also have MSD 6-BTM with a 8k pill in it. i sprayed my engine down serveral weeks ago and water corroded the conection on the pill. i did a burn out in front of my friends house last night and when i got about 2 blocks away, i looked at my avcr and the rpm peak hold showed 9485 rpm. i was about to **** in my pants. i pulled the car over right away and let it idle to see if i could hear anything different. it didnt't sound any diferent at all, so i got home and did a compression check and everything was fine. so i took the car out and to see if it was a glitch or something, but i was able to go pass 8k again. so i figured out it was the bad connection in the msd pill. i guess i lucked out this time. i wonder how long the engine could stay at 9500 rpm before the valves start floading on stock valve train.
