I'm gonna ignore the first couple of jackass posts.. you know people that want to switch from a 5 lug to a 4 lug? the only reason behind that, that I can see would be there is alot more choices in wheels

i know it would be minimal but i see it around here</TD></TR></TABLE>
LOL
sorry the <1lb they would save isnt even noticable.
only way i see a 5 to 4 lug is for wheel choice.

Actually, they are quite a bit heavier.
Sorta like going from a 14 pound wheel to a 9 pound wheel. Doesn't seem like that much, but it makes a difference.

there is no way in hell there is a 5lb diffrence between the rotors.
and i understand about the wheels but why not just get a lightweight racing wheel? like the kosei k1? they come in 5lug.

It's not just the rotors, its the calipers too.
Pick them up and you can feel a difference, trust me.
One of the only reasons I could see switching to a 4 lug set up for the wheels would be to run 13/14" slicks.. auto-x or drag..

no, no it is not.
And weight difference between 5 lug and 4x100 hub is pretty substancial.

a lot of people that want to go back to 4 lug from 5 lug is because it is a lot easlier to run slicks and the wheels that u mounts slicks on with 4 lugs. i hav had a lot of people offer me their 5 lug for my gsr 4 lug because they said the wheels they wanted to run for slicks arent made in 5 lug. maybe that clears that up
