First off this is only an 1/8th mile track...the closest 1/4 is an hour away. Well for those of you that dont know...i have a 90 crx with a b18a that has i/h/e and thats it. Last time i went to the track i ran a 9.6. Im a little more pleased with tonights outcome. Well heres the layout of the slip
r/t .207
60' 2.01
330' 5.594
1/8 9.343
mph 76.29
I had slicks this time so i had a little more traction. I think that i can get into the 9.2's or maybe the 9.1's with a little more practice. This was only my second time at the track and my first time ever on slicks...and they are sorta hard to get used too. I actually had a 1.92 60ft but i mis-shifted second so i only ran a 10.1. Overall im pleased with the outcome. Everyone thought that i was spraying...you shoulda saw the looks on their faces when i popped the hood. They couldnt believe it. I beat an srt-4 3 times....but i know he woulda kicked my *** in the 1/4. What do you guys think my 1/4 will be on slicks? Im guessing mid 14's? Man i love this car!

Im is best friend so i can vouch for him. It's all true. It was funny because the dude driving the neon was mad and making excuses up. But it did have mad high end. Anyway it was a good night out
I think mid to low 14's sounds reasonable, if you really get some practice in with the launches. I've been considering a B18 in my rex down the road....what kind of problems have you personally encountered? How much of a traction problem do you have, without slicks? I'm considering three engine possibilities, d16z6 (turbocharged), B16A (eventually turbo'd), and a B18 (also eventually turbocharged, but for the time being, would be NA)...so hearing input from a CRX owner with a B18 would help a lot. But anyways, back onto the subject..your times definently aren't that bad. Once you master driving your 0-60's, then you'll really be set....

I havent had ANY problems at all with the swap. Traction is an issue at times but its not that bad. When im on the street i roll out then drop the clutch...youll spin for a second then be out. I love the 1.8 non vtec.
BTW-the guy withthe srt-4 had an intake, gutted cat, and the boost was set at 18psi...he had traction issues but he still hooked decent. I guess he was just a shitty driver. Either way i beat a cocky *** srt-4 driver...thats what counts.

sCeRaXn, I have almost the exact same car as you. 88 HF with stock LS swap and I/H/E. My best time so far is 9.78 at 73 mph on crappy tires with terrible camber wear. I'm gonna buy slicks in the very near future, so your times make me optimistic
What size slicks are you running? Do you still have the stock axles in, or do you have racing axles? I think I'm gonna get 22x8x13 slicks, but I'm concerned about the axles breaking.
Congrats on your times

Im not too sure about the slick size cuz they were my friends...but i think that they were 20x8x14. When i buy my own im going to get 22x8x14's...the 20 inch ones were good but i think i woulda done better with the 22's. I have stock axles and they held up fine. Thanks dude and good luck with your car too.

I wouldn't personally Turbocharge the B18C5. The compression is much higher than the other B18's...much better off as a NA engine. It has been done of course.....anything can be done.
