Default d15 to d16

Well i have a d15b1 motor in my car right now, and i'm gonna swap a y8 head on it, and i was wondering if there was anything interchangeable between the two heads? If not what other motors are interchangeable, like the dizzy, IM, TB ect..

Thanks....

If the D15B1 is a 12V (HF/STD motor, right?) a 16V head should not work. There are no valve reliefs in the pistons. If you meant a D15B2, I think most parts, except valve cover and the stuff under it, are swapable.

I would use the Y8 intake manifold, a 88-91 Si distributor (bolts up to the Y8 head), OBD0 injectors, and any 92-up D-series T/B or even a B-series one. Don't forget to remove the oil control jet in the block as well.

DX's got D15B2.

That is a very important difference. You do not want to use the DX mani on it, the TB is tiny, but it will bolt on.

True, but the d15b1 (the Std motor) is still 16v. If it's an HF motor though, you're completely right.
