Lap times at Gratten raceway (MI)
I think everyone had a good time, though I would have liked to have an instructor for advice. I don't perfer it when its' take a few warm up laps, watch the guy in front of you take the wrong line, then go at it and figure it out for the rest of the day.
Run groups were less then 8, over 2.5 hours of track time, and no accidents.

me and my "cheater hatch" ran a 1:30.7xx (on my lap timer) a couple years ago with an LSvtec motor and gsr trans. in the car. This was on 205/50 r3so3's.

...because i'm not involed in the sanctioned or "real" road racing, and the car has brakes, motor, and a few mods that probably take it out some racing classes/divisions(ITA? for example), people/friends have called my car a "cheater car" in the past. It's just like a lot of the cars here on H-T, but not a "real" race car.

You need to cheat your *** back to the track this year, slacker.

Grattan Raceway is like a roller coaster, and it's one of my favorite tracks. When I ranked the 20 tracks I've driven, it came out as my number 4 favorite. Not bad at all!
If anyone is interested in driving in an HPDE event there, the Windy City Chapter of BMW CCA will be there Saturday-Sunday, September 6-7. I have the event application in hard copy form, so if you would like it, IM me with your fax number and I will fax it to you.
It says, "If you plan to attend, mail your application in right away. The participants will be picked from BMW CCA members first, then non members. Deadline is August 1st or until the school is full. Don't hesitate."
Cost for the two-day school is $285 for BMW CCA members, $335 for non-members.

Holland, Michigan, is about halfway between South Haven and Grand Rapids, about 30 miles by interstate from each.
From South Haven, GingerMan is about six miles from the interstate exit.
From Grand Rapids, Grattan is about twenty miles from the interstate exit.
So GingerMan is slightly closer to Holland than Grattan is.
You'll like Holland - It's nice living within 45 minutes of two great tracks!

It depends on the track, and how many days you sign up for. The NASA HPDE rates are similar in price to BMW CCA. You can look up the fees for any specific event on NASA's website.
