I'm gettin my exedy tomorrow along with a dc 4-1 from no limit.....I hope the clutch is better than my oem R clutch which melted in less than 60K......I'm not a bad abuser either...

Unless you really need the XT pressure plate, why get it? I have the HDSS with the 12.5 flywheel. It feels great to me. I used to have the xtreme pressure plate and an unsprung 6 puck clutch plate(not my choice). THAT is hell on an almost stock integra, on the street.

why not XT pressure plate?

Mine drives like OEM now (at least to me) and I hate driving a soft clutch now. But when you race it, it's awesome. Engages fast there isn't any rev drop.

I paired it with the prolite flywheel, and I love it. I really wish I got the comptech 6.75 flywheel though. But it's all good. IMO, lighter the better.

Get the HD pressure plate. If its a daily driven car that simply doesn't need the XT because of power or something, its not going to give you gains.

are there any disadvantages to having a Xtreme pressure plate over a heavy duty? I currently have an xtreme with 6 puck and am thinking to whether change the 6 puck and Xtreme pressure plate to street/strip disc with heavy duty or just keep my xtreme pressureplate and just change my 6 puck to a street/strip disc. any reply would be helpful

im pretty sure the stock flywheel is ok, but

Thats a quote from another forum. So it sounds like it might be worth it to just throw a new flywheel in there while your doing the clutch.

I have the ACT HDSS for now and I'm planning to upgrade to the XTSS. to me the HDSS feels too much like a stock clutch for me. I guess I got use to the clutch though.

I have a comptech flywheel and the act HD and the SS disk. I think they are great. Why go to the extreme if you only 170 horses, if you have a gsr. I think the extreme would just be overkill. JMO. ACT is definatly a good choice.

that's what I'm saying.

For those of you who complain about the XTSS setup. **** that. I bet You haven't driven a stiff / fast engaging clutch to even know the difference.

I driven a Clutch Net custom made 3 puck full Carbon/kevlar 3 puck unsprung clutch. On the street with a ITR tranny/flywheel. Now you will not complain about having a stiff clutch ever again.

I really dont see how anyone can drive with the OEM clutch. If I bought a new car. I'd most likely replace the clutch with aftermarket within a week.
