On my Console the tach needle is just going up and down and I barely hit the gas pedal...Only the tach does this and the needle is going crazy, back and forth even if the car is on idle....HELP

 

Sounds like a bad ground or your ignitor, did it just start doing this all the sudden or have you done something to your car recently ?

 

Does Honda still replace your ignitor for free if its not already been replaced? I understood there was some kind of recall on the ignitors when CRXs first came out. Is this correct?

 

From my understanding...yes crex23....i should take this to the dealer and see if its part of the recall...it's just that the needle is going crazy and im like....whoah~

 

This was happening to my brothers car, and we replaced the ignitor to get rid of it.

mine is doing the exact same thing, but it doesnt do it at idle, it only does it above like 4,000RPM. I switched to a DX tranny last week, cause the SI was fucked, but this shouldnt effect the RPM guage should it? And it also only seems to do it when my gas tank is on full..haha, someone help me out to!
