Any diff. between a LS and a GSR besides the motor? I may buy a gsr tomorrow...
It's a '97 GSR. 5 speed. clean cept for a dent at the end of the door. I need a good reliable car that i can mess w/ a lil bit. Figured i could get this. They want 10k for it. Kbb lists it at around 9200-9500.
Any suggestions?

The gsr is a b18c1 with a 170hp stock at the flywheel VTEC. the LS engine is about 140 hp stock and no vtec (b18b).
right, i apologize, i should have been more specific. Is there any diff's BESIDES the motor and trans? Like suspension, brakes etc..
thanx

The wheels can be different but if it is a 97 gsr it may have wheels that are similar to 98+ls wheels. Also it may have leather interior and I believe gsr's have a bigger sway bar. The side moldings on a gsr will also match the color of the car. The gsr also came stock with a factory strut bar. If you are worried you might be getting an ls instead of gsr and are afraid of getting ripped off then check the vin # on the car. It should have dc2 somewhere in there if its a gsr.

doesnt the gs-r come stock with a/c, power moon roof, cruise control, cd, and the body and motor differences?
Hell yeah man...if you are wanting the turbo go with the LS...although no Vtech it is perfect for turbo...if you want a supercharger the gsr would be the better pick...the compression is about the same as the 99 honda civic si
Ariz...since I'm a trial user I'm replying on here lol. OOPS hahaha Vtech, lol my bad I was typing too fast hah.

I think the only differences are the tranny and the upper front sway bar (the LS didn't have one). I'm not sure about what was different with the tranny, but I'm guessing that it's less close-ratio. I think in '95, LS integras also didn't have painted side moldings.
ya the side moldings are painted
strut bar
suspension is stiffer
bigger sway bars
the first 2 gears of the ls and gsr tranys are the same but the rest are dif
better ecu

Everyone basically got it right....EXCEPT the thing about the side mouldings. In the 1997 model year, even LS's have their side mouldings painted the color of the car. RS's do not. Their mirrors are also black.
Spend 3-5K more and get an ITR. If your worried about theft just go with the GSR and still take precautions. Its still a target but not nearly as big of one. On 97's the only differences are cluster, suspension (slight), bigger sway bars, front upper strut bar, I believe the seats are different (94-95 they definately are). Biggest difference is of course the engine, the B18C1 is a much better motor than the B18B. Trans and ecu are also different but you already know that.

nope.
Same springs shocks.
Only difference is the 94 - 99's the LS's had slightly smaller front/rear sway bars. By 1mm or so.

you forgot to mention:
gsr doesnt have third/high mount brake light,
gsr comes standard with spoiler
gsr's rear hatch glass has no holes/plugs in it for the hatch light
all other g3 integras have these things
also, on all buy 00/01 gsrs, the header of a gsr is shorter than that of ls
doesnt the shift **** differ as well? i dunno cuz i never had the stock one heh

ha, yeah no sh*t, especially at a dealer. Trust me though, if for 3 grand more they had a type r i would have had it. I bought the gsr, already has intake and fpr and w/ in a week a 12lbs flywheel and a real nice clutch are going in it. Glad to have a car i can take these things from and then throw them into my 'teg.
I did notice that the car seems a bit looser then i thought, it is stock though and was wondering if my 90 civic si shocks and springs will go on my 97 teg. I have koni yellows w/ eibachs.
