built zc engine seized
i just finished putting my t-25 turbo on my built zc that i had driven for about a year with no problems. about a day after the turbo went on the engine seized. I installed crower rods with JE 9:1 comp pistons. My problem is that i used the old rod bearings when i rebuilt the engine (my best guess without taking off the oil pan) I know I'm a ******* idiot....so please don't just talk ****. Next time i drop all my money into a motor i will do it right. My question is if i spun a rod bearing what will be shot in my engine. My guess is the crank and the rod thats stuck. Does anyone think that i could possibly get the rods machined and be ok? Would i be better off getting a new zc? I really though i was mechanically inclined to rebuild the engine by following the haynes manual.....i guess next time i will do more research. Thanks for the help H-T!
