Default What are a good set of coilover's for a Type R?

I looking to put on a H&R Springs with Tokico Illumia shocks, but I would prefer a coilover set up, but the complete kit.

What is your budget?

Coilovers range in price just like wine.

It depends on what you want them to do, in what environment you want them to perform, and how much you want to spend.

That being said, I love the TODA Racing FIGHTEX coilovers

GC "coilover" w/custom rates. and Koni yellows. If you are on a budget.

Heard nothing but good about The Zeal B6 and also Tein.

Does anyone know the rates on the Zeal B6 btw?

"street" rate for Zeal b6 for Integras is like 10K front 6K rear

"street" rate for civics is 12K front 8K rear..which i have. stiffer than me in the morning

btw: you can order custom spring rates with Zeals as well.

Go to Wheel & Tire Zone on Eglington in Mississauga and talk to Peter.

They sponsor the local SCCA class Solo2 events and retail suspension kits, tires, wheels as well. Sort of like the Canadian version of the Tire Rack (Plus).

If you are "semi-serious" to serious about handling, then I would get past all the JDM bling bling stuff here and start asking about a setup that is right for you.

nothing wrong with them...just that it seems that's all you guys "promote" here when the market is much broader and with equal quality.

The autoX and road racing forum guys/gals here can attest to that...

Thanks (shoulda checked the endless site beforehand. me.)

not to drift OT but,

It states on the Zeal site that the B2 and B6 both have the same rates you referred to above. (street/circuit.) It also states they both have the 6 way adjustable "PVS" system.

the only difference I can find is (aside frome steel/aluminum bodied.) the B2 is: Fixed Length. While the B6 is: adjustable length.

Sorry for the noob question but, obviously both are ride height adjustable....so what exactly are they referring to in this statement?

Would the B6 be adjustable to where it would not "bottom" out? while the B2 is fixed?

TIA

when they said adjustable i think they mean the damper settings, not ride height adjustable. you could change the stiffness of the ride on teh b2, but not the height

ah but the question is how much can you play with the rebound adjustment (separately) relative to the compression/bump...assuming you're not doing any off road rallying.
