Default Antifreeze is leaking from Water Pump..Need help!

I changed the water pump and it still leaks..Could it be leaking from somewhere else besides the water pump?

How about the pump's O-ring? Was the surface that the O-ring seats against nice & smooth?

When you change your waterpump you need to change the o-rings as well. Try that first.

Correct. Replace everything when installing a new water pump and make sure it seals up properly.

When I bought a water pump it came with it's own new O-ring. Is there any chance you got something (dirt?) underneath the O-ring when you bolted it up?

You might have to take off your timing covers, & pressurize your cooling system, in order to see just where it's leaking.

make sure it's very clean where the water pump mounts up..
use a NEW o-ring..
you can also put a thin coat of high temp silicon to help prevent a leak

ok...Replaced the water pump and still leaking..I put some hondabond on it...still leaking...Def coming from the water pump...Frined of mine said that im gonna have to pull the motor and retap all the holes so its sits tighter and wont release antifreese when its under pressure..Im just thinking of puttin gasket maker all around the edge of water pump while it mounted that way antifreeze wont seep out through the creese(sp?)..any comments?

Thing is, you should not have to use that at all.

What brand water pump are you using? I just replaced my water pump about 3 weeks ago and no issues. Just make sure you clean everything, and make sure you torque the bolts properly.

Did you notice that 2 of your waterpump bolts are longer than the rest? Did you put those 2 back into the right places? They go in the holes that have the dowel sleeves.

If it's leaking thru the weep hole from the bearing, then your new water pump is defective. Hondabond or fixing the bolts won't help for this.
