Default question about hondata ecu

well since i h ave a gsr motor now with the butterfly intake manifold i now have 2 ecus, my chipped p28 which has the jun progrma and also a obd1 p72 for the gsr motor. i hav my turbo kit but i have to give up one of my ecu's to the shop so i can get my hondata ecu. my question is if i give up my obd1 p72 ecu do i need to get a hondata p72 ecu that will run the butterflies? or are all the hondata ecus' p28's? i dont want to get a hondata p28 ecu thats not going to open up the butterflies in the manifold. any answers?

i havent read anything about hondata openening butterflies... i know that hondata make wonders but havent heard anything about that.... i personally think you should run the p72 to open the butterflies up....

i thoguht that hondata could chip and socket your p72 ecu so that it will run hondata and still open up the buterflies. i thoguht it was liek this: b16,type r, and gsr motors with skunk 2 manifold motors use p28 ecus since those motors dont have butterflies but gsr motors with stock dual runner manifold need to use the p72 still? am i right?

ok i found it on hondatas website. it clearly says that if u dont use a p72 ecu with the gsr motor that u will lose the ability to control the secondary intake runners. basically saying that im going to need to get my p72 ecu chipped and socketed by hondata if i dont want to lose control of the secondary runners.

Either have them put the chip in your p72 or do it yourself it's very easy. Then you can control the secondary runners ..
