how to put hondata chipped 72 back to normal?
i am probably trading my car this weekend minus my turbo kit and hondata and need to leave the P72 ecu in teh car since it will retain the gsr motor.
how can put the p72 ecu that is currently chipped for hondata back to normal so it will run without the hondata and just run the motor on stock injectors and such?
thanx in advance

Cut jumper J1 and burn a stock map chip or whatever map you are running (larger injectors if you are giving them with the car.)

so it is just cut jumper J1? or is it cut the jumper and then burn a stock MAP chip.
i thuoght it was just remove the chip i have in there now and cut jumper J1 and teh ecu will return back to stock

it will need a prom reguardless to do anything. so you will need an eprom in there with a program to run . Now cutting J1 allows you to not need the interface box then ?

This is absolutely correct. Cutting J1 will make the ECU use the maps that are on the on-board memory in the stock processor. When you chip an ECU, you bypass this on-board memory by installing J1. By cutting J1, you are now "un-bypassing" the on-board maps. You could even leave the Hondata eprom in there if you wanted to.

J1 is in the top right section (the section that goes up). In a modded ECU it will have a wire jumper that just needs to be cut.

A pretty big clue is that it says "J1" right next to it.

Ha, well alright...just never looked closely at the inside of the ECU.
