high idle and surging throttle
Ive got a 91 crx si with a b16 and lately ive had high idle and it surges. It usually goes from 700 to 2400 and drops back down again. It used to only do it when it was cold but now it does it all the time. I think i might have a bad TPS because when im driving and i let off i can hear the motor stop accelerating and a couple seconds later i can here the actual throttle let off so it kinda jerks the car. Its a real pain in the *** when im trying to maintain a certain speed. Its throwing a code, im not sure which one because the last time i checked it was when i first did the swap and it was 02 censor that i never fixed so i assumed it was the same code. ill check it tomorrow and post it if its not just the 02. Any ideas please let me know asap. thanks in advance.

i checked the codes...i got 7-TPS, 17-VSS(i dont have my speedometer hooked up), 23-Knock sensor, 21-Vtec Solenoid(im running fields sfc with no input to ecu), and 2-oxygen sensor b
i think you should really have somebody at a shop look at your car with proper tools... like a volt ohm meter so stop by here and well figure it out.... now the only geustion is where do we get a tps sencor........

changed the TPS and good news, it doesnt surge like it did, bad news, it idles at 1700 constant. The idle is all the way down and i adjusted the screw with no success. I started playing with hoses and they all seem to be doing their jobs. I'm also still getting the TPS code which is strange because im actually making progress.
Adjust your throttle cable, turn the revs up to about 2000 with the screw before you do so you'll have some adjustibility when you try and bring it down with the throttle cable.
