Default I hate cars!

Can anyone explain why putting on an ITR Master Cylinder and b00ster involves:

-contorting oneself under the dash/cage/seatframe
-spilling brake fluid everywhere
-removing the intake manifold
-spilling c00lant all over garage
-dropping nuts and bolts and have the fail to reappear on the fl00r under the car
-cursing profusely
-cutting one's leg on the splitter

AARRGH!....and i'm not even half way done with this st00pid project...

....can someone offer me an arrive-and-drive deal due to my mad driving skillz before i really hurt myself?

*goes to pass out*

[QUOTE=El Pollo Diablo]-cutting one's leg on the splitter

QUOTE]

Thats normal.... there is a certain amount of blood-shed that goes along with joining the RRG team.

Sorry Bro.

Take the nose off prior to any big repairs.

See you next weekend!!!!

Removing the intake manifold and spilling coolant for a brake m/c change? Thats a new one...

And those nuts and bolts... magnetic pick up to remove them from the booster is best.

yah, i saw no way to get the much thicker than stock ITR b00ster on there without unbolting the intake manifold to make r00m for the b00ster....

the magnetic pick up is currently MIA somewhere....grrr...

time to take a shower and drink a beer...a beer of failure

I've learned by now that any excercise involving fluids should start by putting your inflatible kiddie pool ($4.77 at W-mart) under the front end. This came in handy during my recent head swap, when I turned on the ignition prior to replacing the little service bolt on top of the fuel filter, and had a small gasoline fountain going for a few seconds.

if he used a pre '98 DC-2 1" MC then yes, he would have had to re-flange

Sounds like my headswap - only when i broke the seal on the headgasket i thought that i should've drained the coolant from the block first.

-the B00ster is apart from the MC...but the ITR b00ster is much thicker than the stock one and with the ITR intake manifold I just couldn't get it past the shock tower. It's in now though

-As for the lines, I will NOT need to reflare as my car is/was a civic si and has the same fittings as the ITR MC (already checked) but I will have to rebend the lines.

-zyg

I like this.... I've had many "beers of failure" since I decided to start working on cars.

yes if he has a GSR brake thing then yes....but i know he got the ITR so there should be no flaring....might have to make slight adjustment with the lines...

Dude, I feel the EXACT same way!

A) Removing PS from a 4th gen prelude is MAJOR PITA.. The VSS has PS lines going into it
B) Car won't start, cell 16 and 41
C) Cell 16 fixed due to stupid Corey, thanks Steve (SGT)!
D) Steering now feels like ***, because there are SO many lines in the prelude system, don't know if I looped them right.
E) Hi Cam still doesn't work, well, maybe because the speedo doesn't work..
F) When Installing another VSS, make sure it has all the parts inside of it!
G) Alternator not work, car running off Battery now
H) Connection came loose on Kill Switch wiring, fixed now
I) Jump start the car, no Cels, no weird noises, no leaks, runs great, about damn time!!!!!

Now to start the next projects

lol...that reminded me. The kill switch short circuited when i was driving back from the VIR comp sch00l earlier this year. The car died outside of DC when the battery was drained since the alternator was grounding through the killswitch. The cellphone batter went dead after placing a call to the PD. I almost got arrested since the dash was all apart when the cop showed up. The 3 hour tow home was not fun either...and the $500 tow bill sucked 455....

And now I'm selling the car I love to support this stupid habit....i'm not a smart man

This, my friends, is an excellent example of why tow vehicles kick ***.

haha, after removing the p/s i had so much p/s fluid sprayed all over the engine bay, i'm surprised a fire didn't start at pocono. the blood from my fingers probably kept the oil fire from starting.

the mc debacle can't possibly be worse than:
- the vafc install
- the dash removal
- the dash reinstallation
- the cel that didn't die, matt "is this a long blink or a short blink?" us "uh, looks short." matt "*(^#(&@#(!" matt, after replacing every sensor under the hood except the faulty one
