fixing rust!
yep replace it. that is the best way to get rid of rust.bondo dosnt work well to keep the rust from coming back(unless its just a little surface rust). my tip is to just buy new front fenders and go to a junk yard and cut out the piecs you need on the rear and take it to the body shop. the reason it rusts I think is because there is a little lip underneath the fender that holds water( I cut it out).but it you want a cheap fix bondo makes a fiberglass repair kid that you can patch over the hole after you take out the rust spot.it just depends on the quality of work you want I guess. good luck
all it is, is the surface rust, i just want to stop it before it gets any farther. ive heard to, sand down area, primer, bondo, sand, paint over? or something in that area. dunno. thanks any more help?
yeah you can get away with that for a while but even then it'll probobly keep rusting...
Rust is called "cancer" when it comes to cars for a reason... even if you beat it for now it's REAL likely that it will come back... I have bd on both my front fenders... I sanded and primered them before they really rusted at all and 1 year later it's coming through again (and I used a rust inhibiting paint too).
Fyi for those who don't want this to happen.... actually F it I'm gunna start a thread on it... if search doesn't turn anything up.

basically if all it is is surface rust and you want to just take care of it.(it sounds a lot easier than it really is.)rust sux.
My friend had the similar problem and he went to MAACO(or however its spelt) and they took care of the body work and it came out good (we'll see how well the paint holds up tho)

it really can be bad if not taken care of properly
they have stuff that eats rust make sure to use that
grind out any rust to make sure its all out and make
sure to use a good sealer so no more moisture can get in
also make sure your area is well prepped before priming
and painting make sure they dont have standing water on the
inside of your fenders. but most likely if you live where
it snows it it from the salt they they use on the roads that
inhibits this
