Default Piston to valve clearance: Ctr pistons & skunk2 stage 3 cams in a gsr motor

I need some serious help. I just bought skunk2 stage 3 cams for my gsr motor and I am planning to use CTR pistons along with gsr rods for this engine set-up. I was wondering if you guys know if there is enough piston to valve clearance with this engine build. Here is what I am using for the setup:
- skunk2 stage 3 cams
- skunk2 valve springs and retainers
- ctr pistons (standard bore)
- gsr rods
- 2 layer head gasket
Please advice me on what I need to run this set up good.
Thanks,
Ryan

Clay the motor just to be safe. Can save you alot of money down the line, and will tell you the limits for adjusting the cam gears.

Lock the vtec rocker, set the lash to zero and check with modeling clay. Also check the clearance at various cam gear settings to see if you are getting too close. Recommend minimum clearances are 1mm on the intakes and 1.5mm on the exhaust measured vertically from the bottom of the valve relief.

Stage 3's have alot of duration on the exhaust cam so you should know your what your clearance and limits here.

Stage 2 also got alot of duration and have close lobe centers.

i wouldnt use GSR rods since they are weak.
id go for ITR rods at least.

dont deck ur block also.

doesn't everyone say that i thought itr rods only fit itr crank and gsr rods only fit gsr crank unless you plan to go with aftermarket forged rods, someone please clarify this

I would just use GSR rods w/ ARP rod bolts, i think the difference is negligable between ITR and GSR rods both using ARP rod bolts. THe ITR ones are just lighter.

And for the rods fitting the crank, I thought the only way the ITR crank was different was that it had counterwieghts on it that the GSR crank dosent, so i'm guessing the GSR rods will fit
