!!!NEED ENGINE HELP FAST PLEASE!!!
I have a 95 ls and the other day i started it up and then 3 seconds later it just died. I thought it might of been the gas so i put some more in but thats not it. Then i thought it might of been the coil so i replaced it but nothing still. So then i replaced the controle modular(sp?) but it still wont start. I mean it will turn over but it just wont start, and then my friend pulled the spark plug wire back to see if it was gettin any spark and it wasnt so i dont know what the hell is wrong. And the worst thing is im supposed to be selling my car TODAY or TOMORROW :S:S:S so if you guys can help me out , PLEASE DO!!! Thanks
maybe check the igniter, or is that the control module you are talking about?. It's the small box next to the coil with like 4 wires that connect to it. Sometimes the contacts come loose or the igniter starts to fail on hot days.
if you smelled a little burning plastic smell in your car when it happends its your ignition swtch...prolly fried it.. happends to hondas and acuras all the time..turn your headlight on and see if your car battery is charged.. if its not turning over.. at all.. it has to do somethign with eletrical.. eliminate the batery first.. after that check all the ignition switch.. then the starter.. if the battery is dead its your alternator
it is probely the distributor cause if it turns over then that noise is the starter and if the starter is turning then the batt has enough charge. so.. look in the distributor cap and see if the contacts are worn i hope this helps
thanks for all of your help but it turns out its just a stupid mechanic.
The first thing i did was take out my coil and have it checked. The secondary was only 8 ohms and it has to be atleast 12 but the stupid guy told me that it is ok....my first mistake of listening to him. So i bought a new coil and controle modular and let him put them in, but car still didnt start. Then i was sittin in my seat and noticed that the coil i was lookin at that wasnt in the car that was supposed to be the old one did not say "tec" on it. Then it hit me that the guy put in the old coil instead of the new one, so i put in the new one and she started right up. Many hours of being hot and pissed off could of been cut down drastically but i guess thats the way it goes these days.
