Default I dunno how a fuel filter gets clogged?

Does the fuel leave deposits that add up and cause blockage in the filter? If that was the case, wouldn't the fuel rail and other stuff get clogged as well? What is inside the oem filter anyhow?

i would think that because tis a filter, its MADE to stop stuff, thats why it stops stuff anf eventually there is too much **** and it gets clogged, that keeps stuff fromt getting to the fuel raila dn regulator, thats why they dont usually clog up.
Sorry im stupid and dont know what im tlaking about.
