Default would this be an ok spot to mount my MSD?

hey guys,
In my old car I had it mounted in the engine bay wher the battery tray was. On a prelude that is pretty much right nex to the turbo. So I decided to try to find a place to move it to on the new car. Since I have heard some people say that the MSD really don't like the heat.
Here is where I was thinking of mounting it up. As you can see it gets it out of the way pretty nicely. My only question is do you think that it might get warmer here than in the engine bay since it is kind of enclosed a bit? Or do you guys have any other suggestions?

By the way this the passenger side foot panal. The ECU will be placed right next to it.

Thanks,
Josh

ps...can't show any more pics...see the rest here

That looksl like the inside of the car where the ecu goes? Should have no problems mounting there.

hey thanks,
Yea It is right next to the ECU. The fan control module usually mounts there bu it is small and easy to move, I just want to make sure it isn't to enclosed as I don't know how much heat it puts off
Thanks!

Mine is mounted in the same place on my teg... Haven't had any problems in 6 months. It is beneath my carpet and thick floor mats as well. It's clean

With the Digital 6, dont you have to have it mounted away from any other electrical interference?

Thats another thing I was wondering too, and a good reason I have not bolted it down. I miss placed my manual (I got it about 1.5 years ago) so I am not sure if it is going to casue some problem with the ECU. Any one know the answer to this?
Thanks,
Josh

I wouldnt mount it real close to the ecu, Its gonna cause some RF noises and minor electrical interference.

i would say at least 8-10" away... I know with the Digital 7 it has to be like 12" from any other electrical device, but yet within 18" (I think) of the coil.

hmm...so I suppose that spot is not as perfect as I had hoped. Any one else have any ideas on a good place to mount it in the interior?
Thanks,
Josh

It is like a foot away from my EMS in my teg... I don't know if the 6 needs to be that close to the coil. I've never had any issues with mine. It's protected from the weather, heat, etc.. You won't have problems with it mounted there.

this would put it less than 2 inches from my ECU...
Thanks,
Josh

Mount it on the black part to the left of the metal... There is room for it in a teg at least, nobody steps on it either, might be different in your car..
