Calling all MSD pro-billet owners.
I have a question for all of you,
How did you mount your Ignitor/Coil setup? I got it and there is no hope in mounting this thing!
Did you have to make a custom mount for it?

This might be hard to see, but if you look at the bottom left of my engine bay you will see the coil. YES it is the red one. I know yours is black, don't ask lol. I just used the lil rubber insulators on the bottom of it, and drilled 3 holes where I wanted to mount it. I then reached behind the fender and used the 3 nuts they supplied me. Hope this helps. All the hardware I used was included with my MSD setup.

Every coil I have ever received from MSD, no matter if it was a new one, or a replacement, IT ALWAYS came with a lil bag with all the hardware, and was packaged in a new plastic casing. Did you purchase this 2nd hand? If so then that is most likely your problem. But if it was new then I don't know what to say. You have either misplaced them, don't know what your looking for, or msd didn't include it. Give them a call, and I'm sure they will send you the hardware you need for free. They have always taken care of me whenever I had a issue with my setup.

There should be studs threaded into the rubber mounts, If this is a new unit, contact MSD to send you some new hardware.
I custom made a bracket, mounted it to my shock tower, then monted the coil driver to it

Also, if you allready havent done so, pull apart the distributor and locktite every bolt, especially the machine screws that hole the rotor on. They like to vibrate loose and throw the rotor off, then the rotor destroys the entire inners of the dizzy.
My first distributor lasted just over 100 miles LOL. The second one (MSD replaced) I locktited and has lasted me over 2 yrs.
