vtec controller on a f22 accord
I recently installed my controller on my accord to see how it would act up. I know vtec kicks in early on accords. When i set the vtec engagment back to 4500 when it would kick in it would kick in like my old gsr. It would knock your head back. the problem im wondering is why when i get up to 5800 rpms it lags. maybe something with the fuel or something please help me. I currently disabled the vtec controller. Maybe tuning with fuel manegment could fix this lag. I just wanna use vtec that i can actually feel. Thanks 1st time poster.
actually you want vtec that you dont feel
the whole point of dyno tuning a vtec equipped honda engine is to eliminate that kick and to smooth out the dip before vtec engages
the lag could be due to fuel issues, get it to a dyno, only way to figure it out correctly

omg your an idiot
the f22 is not your b18c, it doesn't engage vtec in the same rpm range. like mentioned that kick you feel is cause your engaging it too late. it's cause your losing so much power before VTEC and then it all of sudden gains power. you want it smooth. you shouldn't mess with the VAFC drastically unless you have it dyno tuned.
