Default secondary runner & JRSC?

Since my car is still down waiting on getting a new motor, (I have given up on the clowns that sell SH motors on here and have just went and bought a crate short block today). I was thinking about the secondary runners on the intake. Before VTEC air flows through the long runners then at vtec the butterflies open and it flows through the short runners. Now on NA motors I've heard that disabling the runners kills the low end. But what I'm wondering is, if I kill the butterflies, would I benefit? My car pulls very strong once it gets into vtec, so I was just wondering what other people thought.

I just bought a VAFC, so I guess that when I adjust the vtec crossover point then this will open up the secondary runners, but i was wondering if I would get more gains from killing them.

You don't have intake butterflies, they were removed for the JRSC install.
