do I need different valve springs and retainers for ctr and itr cams?
I have a first gen b-16a in a 4th gen civic. when I accidently blew it up I ordered another longblock and got stuck with one that originally had an automatic tranny, which means less aggressive cams and a slow *** motor. I figured since I was going to have to replace the cams I thought about skunk 2 stage 1 cams or ctr and itr cams, or maybe just the cams from standard tranny b-16a. Because the cams are different in the a/t b-16a's does that mean the valve springs are also less aggressive. If i threw in some ctr and itr exhaust and intake cams would I have to get new valve springs?

All b series retainers are the same.

Hmmm, I'm not sure if Auto B16's have differn't spring rates then the M/T ones, but normal B16 valvetrain is FINE up to 8K w/ CTR/ITR cams. If you want Portflow inners are only $80.
