Default oil line on d16y7

do i have to drill a hole on the d16y7 block for the oil line for the vtec head? i know ls/vtec u do.

I have never done it but I think it is a direct swap. I have never heard anyone talking about drilling holes into the block. I think the y7/y8 blocks are identical. I may be wrong though.

there is no oil line needed for a sohc vtec head.
