Y8 head on Y7 block: oil line req'd???
I'm doing mini-me in a 98 hatch, keeping the stock Y7 block and putting a Y8 head on it. I'm not aware of any external line feeding the VTEC head on a Y8, why do people tell me I need one to put it on my block. I checked at the dealer, the blocks are the SAME! I've been told I need to move the oil presure switch (same location/same part in both Y7 & Y8) to the front of the engine and put a oil line in it's place. This just sounds a bit ridiculous to me, I don't want to rig up a contraption if it will work stock. Please, someone experienced let me know what to do, can I get stock parts to accomplish getting oil into the VTEC head.

u only need the oil line for an ls/vtec u tee off of the oil pressure sensor and run to the head from there. on the mini-me as was stated u don't need the line.
