Did i make a mistake. CX underdrive pulley on a d16z6 motor. I need you help gurus.
I put the cx underdrive pulley on my z6 swap.
will this make my motor run off balance in high rpms. someone told me that it would.
the cx pulley is considerably lighter becuse it lack a spot for a/c and powersteering. i thought i was being rather clever shaving weight.
im going turbo in a week, do i need to put my z6 pulley back on asap.
oh yeah! my cx flywheel on in on a act clutch. that should be ok, right?
thanks for the help BOYS!!!!

alot of people don't like them because there is no dampening effect from it like the stock crank pulley. which could in turn cause premature bearing wear and failure.

what do you mean by dampening effect.
its can cause bearing wear to the crank?

the stock pulley minimizes (dampens) vibration on the crank it is in effect a harmonic balancer. without it the crank can vibrate enough to kill bearings.

i have one on it. its just a cx. it weighs a few pounds less. do you think it's reducing vibration enough. or do i need to get the stocker.

there are alot of opinions on this. i would just run the stock crank pulley because i believe that the undampened lite pulley will eventually cause problems.

I haven't heard too many good things about changing the crank pulleys on hondas.

Just because the pulley came off the cx doesnt mean it isnt dampened. Its still balanaced and you wont have any problems with it on your z6 motor. So i wouldnt worry about it. Stick with the cx pulley.
i was under the impression u swapped your crank pulley for an aftermarket one, if u r running the stock one from the cx i wouldn't worry about it. its the aluminum light weight ones that can cause problems.
is there any pulleys like that for a b-series....i don't have ps or ac...and my pulley is chipped from shipping??
