because your current thermostat is either leaking or is opening at 150degrees

lol, ok. I dont know why you post your coolant temps in the first. Get a oil temp sensor and see how hot it gets. That will tell you if an oil cooler would help your setup. Personally I would only get a oil cooler for track or autocross.

well i posted my coolant temps to show if my car isnt heating up or not.. but i look at it again and said to myself .. they are in 2 different areas of the motor.. i wa sthinking my gsr has a stock oil cooler but it prolyl doesnt since its a 98.. i also wanted an oil cooler just to be on the safe side.. but havign too cold of a oil isnt good for operating temp...since i dont have a thermostat for it.. and my cooler is half og my intercooler .. size wise.. so i would think my oil would get a tad out of good operating heat range..but i look at it another way as in .. when i have my car cool down it would be alot less time.. i dunno theres too much thinking into it..

oh and i always drive my car back and forth to san diego to riverside.. prolyl a good 2 hour drive

Hey are you talking about using a factory oil cooler off like ITR or I think some B16 motors and I know 1.7 GSR motors had them..

IMO every turbo Honda should run an external oil cooler. It is good for power and the engine.

Oil cooler, but monitor your temps, if you have too large of one without a oil thermostat, the oil will never get warm.

i dont want to have any breaks in the SS lines.. since my cooler is the size of half of my type 31 10 row.. ill just downgrade to the size and eliminate the thermostat.. so when my fans turn on during cool down it will cool that at the same time.. while its continiously flowing...instead of the thermostate holding it back...and cooling it and not letting it circulate...plus not much room with the 10 row.. just image how big it is.. the lines itself are -10an fittings.. and thats alot of oil.. im guessign a good 3 extra quarts with the 10 row alone with the lines...i cant afford that much oil LOL

either way get an oil thermostat, it doesnt hurt anything except keep the oil at the right temp. low temp oil isnt good, same as running coolant too low temp.
