clearing out the headlights
ok so i just wanna get this straight...
Since the s2k has an HID system... is it true that u cant clear out the lights by urself or else u risk the possibility of blowing out ur bulbs? BC these guys at a shop told me that it chges the pressure inside the whole headlamp so the light bulbs will be more likely to blow... But as far as the HID system in general... does it really make a diff? bc my friends told me that they may just be trying to get me to buy new headlights... since the system is just the bulbs and ballast(spelling)...
thx im a super newbie!!

I haven't heard that before. I've heard a lot of people putting rick's clear lenses in without a problem. the bulb should have it's own contained pressure from what i know.
Well I'm not positive about HIDs but if you touch the bulb on a regular car's headlights or tailights the oil from your skin may get on it and it'll heat up and blow...but I don't know about HIDs
If you do it, just dont touch the bulbs!!!

There's a way it can be done, hopefully someone can answer your question. My friend's done it. Those guys over @ s2ki.com have done it as well....
I did it to mine 2 weeks ago. It is a pretty long process. I got the "Ricks" diffusers
in smoked color. You have to pull the front bumper off, remove the headlight assembly, and take everything out out of the assebly, and bake them. The first one was a bit nerve racking, but the second one was way more easy, from learning on the first one. There has been no moisture build up from the two times I have washed my car. Go to http://www.s2000arizona.com, look on the left side of the screen and click on the calendar (3rd one down) and then scroll down. You will see my car with the bumper off. Click on the photos and you will see on pages 2 and 3 what we did. Hope this helps. We had a "tech day" and I also installed the Spoon strut tower bar and Spoon xbrace. Now, I just need to install my springs and I am pretty much done.
