Hi, can anyone verify if this tranny is an 99-00 SI tranny with LSD??

 

ive heard if you can see threw the axle hole it does not ? and i saw threw your axle whole so i dont think you have lsd . but dont throw it out yet im still learning honda's

 

if you look through the differential housing and you can see through the other side with nothing in the way, then you have LSD, if you look through and there is a bar in the middle, then you don't have LSD.

it looks like it has LSD, but i still can't really tell. do you have any better pic's?

what's the tranny code on it? if it says S4C then its a 99-00 Si tranny. it might also be a type-r tranny which is basically an Si tranny with LSD.

 

as far as i know, it is NOT lsd equipped.

ive never seen that little hole in the middle of the bar running through the differiental but this is what i do know

if you see a bar, its not LSD

if you dont see a bar, LSD.

 

where is the bar then?

 

so no lsd??? Can someone else verify this.. want to know before i buy this.

i don't know if that hole is in the middle of a bar or not. in the first pic of the differential it looks like the hole is in some kind of bar, but in the second pic the hole looks like its on the other side of the differential housing.

if you get some pics of the other side of the housing, i'd be able to tell.

 

what the hell is that?

after looking closer, there is nothing inside the differental. please explain to me what that metal plate that APPEARS to be running through the diff is?

 

i have no idea what the hell that thing is. maybe its an aftermarket LSD???

EDIT: or maybe they drilled a hole through the bar to make it look like LSD?? all i know is that thing is fugged up.

find someone with a cusco and ask them if thats normal.

If i knew how to post pic i could show you pics of my tranny which has LSD. My tranny also says LSD on the top of it!

 

It has LSD, but unless someone added it to a 99-00 Si tranny, then it's not a 99-00 Si tranny.

They never came with factory LSD.

 

It has LSD. No rod through the middle. Looks like aftermarket LSD but that's still LSD.

 

Ya, it's suppose to be a si tranny with aftermarket LSD. I'm trying to buy it but just wanted to see if any knew for sure if it was wat it seemed.

but the owner says its an SI tranny but it has no vin or codes.... Anyway to tell if it's an SI tranny?????????

 

well from the pics you can determine that it does have a LSD.
it is also apparent that it is not a HONDA stock lsd like froma jdm b16 tranny.
it must be an aftermarket LSD.... and someonementioned Cusco, so I would search for ads or pics with Cusco LSD's to see if the internal section looks similar to the one pictured above.

to determine if it is a 99-00 Si tranny, I do not know how to do that... I dont know if there are markings on it but I do know that it SHOULD have a VIN plate on it and you had better have that there otherwise it is a stolen tranny possibly.... buyer BEWARE.
