Upgrade paths for 13's (b16)

Default Upgrade paths for 13's (b16)

I'm purchasing an EG6 hatch soon and looking to swap in a b16 and go for an all motor setup, in the end I'm looking for 13's and some nice handling. As far as all motor engine mods, after the usual I/H/E what should I go for. The reason I'm going with a b16 instead of b18 or ls/vtec setup is just because it's more cost effective for me. So after I/H/E where should I go?

if i had to do this again wait longer for funds and start with b18c ..... b16 are fun i know b/c i have one and hounger for power never stops so just take my advice..

i have to agree with this guy on top of my post, i feel the same way, i got my B16 becuase of cost and becuase i believed it would powerful enough for my hatch, but ur gunna get tired of it quick becuase of power. i would just go with a GSR and get ur I/H/E and that should get u in high 13's...

Agreed... I've got a B16 in my hatch now.. it runs 13.2 and I think I could squeek it a little faster with some higher compression. I'm a dick and run a stock bottom end... That's where the issue is. The motor is out now and in goes something new. Here's a hint- It's not a B16... Save up and buy a bigger displacement block, you'll fall in love with the torque.

i've had a b16 in my sol , then i built a 12.3:1 compression ls/vtec and have never been happier

Another reason I was considering a b16 is because my room mate has a 2000 Si so he's very familiar with the motor and can help me with any issues. His brother has a built and boosted b18 (GSR) in an old integra, so they are both very familiar with hondas and can help me out a great deal and since I'm only looking for 13's would a b16 be sufficient?

13's is prettying achiechvable w/ a 92-95 and B16. What model do you have are you looking to do it full interior and street tires, stripped and slicked or what?

okay I have a 1rst gen b16 in my crx. It sucks ***. Im trying to also get in the 13s(low) This will be my set up somtime in september.
Itr int mani
some sort of header my be Itr ext mani
Ctr cams
ctr pistons
act clutch
prolite flywheel
msd ignition wires
pr3 chipped(mugen)
agx kyb shocks
Bf Drag radials

What do you think low 13s????????????????????????

I say mid 13's on Drag radials and mb low 13's high 12's on slicks.
