Default Building b16

Looking to build up a b16 for a 96 hatch. i was gonna go with b16b but many people have told me i would be better off and cheaper to build up a regular one. i am looking to make a very fast car. so what im looking for is peoples opinions on what they what do to a b16 if they were to build one up. i have heard that a good b16 hatch will runs 12's. thanks again

a good b16 hatch will not run 12s, it will run 14s

a great b16 hatch will run 13s (jdmlyfestyle)

an AMAZING CRAZY b16 hatch might run 12s

now if you want to go fast, why are you starting with the smallest DOHC engine available? wouldn't you want to get maybe the LARGEST one you could get, or somewhere between?

and are you going NA or FI

well, if you're going for the quarter mile, i'd go for boost, if going NA, you might want to put a 1.8-2.0 block in there, otherwise, get a toda header, aggresive cams, hondata, etc...blah blah

It's a kind of turbo. They are everywhere. You need to do more research about turbo setups if you want to achieve something similar.

Or so it sounds.
