1/4 mile help
I am running the 1/4 for the first time. I just got my Integra a little while ago. my question is if i advance timing how far i should go and where is the power band on a 97 ls end? ohh and any other tips you have.
Power should be at redline or slighly below it. So I wouldnt shift at redline, my power peaks at 7k even though redline is at 8k. I wouldnt advance it more than a few degrees.

powerband on an ls (b18b) is from about 5000-6800, dropping off at 6800 rpm's...advancing the timing might make you idle crazy so be careful but dont put it more than 18', and when u launch dont launch at but about 3500 or 3000 if their slick, i learned from experience if u launch too high you hurt your time by burning out too much...good luck
Advance your timming to 18 BTDC
Try pulling off your power steering belt just for the strip
I launch at 4,400 (feather)
Shift 1st - 2nd, 2nd - 3rd at 6,800 and shift 3rd - 4th at 6,600
My best time was a 15.2 with no power mods except i/h/t/e

I will hopfully be running with a CAI, 4-1 header and eibach sportline springs. I am racing against my buddies 2000Si with CAI, header, exhaust, and vtec controller. i would like a opinion of if i have a chance in beating him? assuming we both have decent runs.
