it sounds like a pulsing rubbing/scraping noise.. if I coast through a right turn there's no noise.. but if i'm at a stop and accelerate on a right turn, it makes the noise.. Would tightening the driveshaft nut too tight or not tight enough do this??

you should take it apart and re-install everything. you didnt do something right... check the tq on the axle nut.
