dont think it will work. y8 dizzy is obd2. and my car is wired for obd0. why do people say that you have to modify the 4g si distrubitors to make them fit? mine just bolted right up...

The 4g distributor bolts to the Y8 head without modifications, but it won't to the Z6 head. You can run the Y8 distributor if you convert to OBD-I (yes it WILL work).

Pokemon, get you facts straight before posting.
Spreading false information is no help.
OBD2 distributor can indeed be used on an OBD1.

For the original poster:
I am assuming you already converted to MPFI, right?
So if you already have that wiring part done, you should have 7 wires coming out of the distributor. If you have 5 wires, you have no business trying to install the OBD2 distributor.

It would be nice if you could give detailed info as to what you have done, so we don't have to guess how to help you.

Oh see!
If you had mentioned that you were using the 91 Si ECU (PM6) I would not have typed what I did. The PM6 will not work with the OBD2 distributor.
So, then you are set. You have a Y8 head, the OBD0 distributor bolts right on without modifications, and you don't need the OBD2 distributor.
So this makes this post kind of pointless, doesn it?

Not pointless, cause you can get guys like me that will recomend that you DO convert to OBD1, and use the Y8 dizzy.

So to you luchbox. BTW that movie is the BEST ever
