Bad throttle reponce on my 98' ITR???(w/ rebuilt motor)
My motor was just rebuilt about 2K miles ago and every since then it has just become a hassle, the throttle responce is just not there like it use to be with the stock block- and I know this is not right- so what could cause this?
I just had a compression and leakdown test done and the #'s were good-
leakdown was 5% on all 4 cylinders
compression: 215,212,214,215

Are you using a different computer by chance? If not, sounds like it could just be something with the TPS or maybe the throttle cable is loose. Did you change injectors?

you need your ignition and fuel maps (partial throttle tuning) redone.
the hondata guys can tell you that the stock ignition map is fairly "retarded" in the lower engine loads and advancing the base timing helps but when you redo the 3D ignition map, it helps the laziness of the repsonse from 3-5 K rpm tremendously.
