Default ANYONE USING AN EBAY HEADER? SERIOUS, IN A ROUGH SPOT.

i know these headers suck. but i'm in need of a new header for my 93 vtec. my first 93 vtec had the same problem of the flex pipe going as in most older preludes and accords. now my 2nd prelude has the same problem.

i'm keeping this car stock and a daily as i have an itr as well. my question is does anyone use these headers? i believe megan something and another company. they look decent and comparable to the dc sports. i'd prefer a new stock lower portion, but i'm also not prepared to pay the price for one.

again, this is just a cheap solution to an exhaust leak. not looking for any peformance whatsoever.

If you're not looking for a performance gain, why not. It can't hurt.

i agree, if you just need something so your car will be back on the road they should work, not great but they should work

Why don't you just go to an exhaust shop and have them weld on another flex pipe? Or you can have them do a spring joint...

already went to get a quick estimate. two muffler shops are trying to charge me $135 for the weld and flex pipe. not comfortable with the spring joint flanges with the h22a.

the stock downpipe piece is close to $135 so i figure just get the ebay header for close to the same. i guess i'll have to let everyone know how it goes.

I wouldn't trust cheaply made flex-pipe headers. Satan's got a point, I'm sure that if you get one welded at a respectable muffler shop, it'll be better than new. Just make sure there's no visible rust before you purchase the flex-pipe. Even DC's tend to crack fast, let a lone an E-Bay header. They probably have underpaid sweat shop children welding those flanges together. Pay your muffler shop and buy them lunch, maybe they'll hook you up with some extra high-temp paint over the welds or something
