my stock D16 needs new pistons @ possibly a new head

Opinions... is it worth it to fix, or should I look for a new motor? Id like to upgrade, but I just dont have the $$ right now

Any suggestions?

and if anyone has a head and/or pistons for me let em know

 

The money and time its gonna take to rebuild is pretty much equal to doing a swap. Just keep your eyes open for a cheap swap (ls or gsr) or another y8. good luck

 

Or rebuild with aftermarket parts.

 

well since you dont got that much money to spend. i say find a use Y8 with less miles. or find someone parting out parts and rebuild it. or maybe put some ZC pistons in there and go N/A.

 

I was leaning on rebuild, but i think the head is cracked now... so probably will search for a new one my poor baby!
