I am looking to find out how to get a alternator belt for my b16a1, since they didnt make this motor in the u.s. is there any way i can just goto the auto parts store and get one that will fit? If so which one? I already bought a belt but it was supposed to be on a b16a2 and it was too big and broke.

 

Did you get one for a VTEC Del Sol, or the Civic Si?

Get the DOHC VTEC Del Sol one. That's what I put on my 1st Gen B16 and it fit perfect.

 

Or you can use one from a 99 or 00 si. I try to stay away from ordering stuff from the del sol because it seems like the stores that don't know anything get the sohc vtec del sol confused with the dohc one.

 

99-2000 si. works perfect. its what i used on mine

 

Napa part# is 25-040300
Most any auto parts store should be able to
cross-reference that number though.
