Del Sol SI Vs. Vtec
I am wondering if I can get some info on the exact differences. Yes I know the main DOHC vs. SOHC. But I had my timing belt break over the weekend after an autox. Shocking put a new timing belt in and I think I can gimp drive for a little while. No compression tests done, but I think and so does my tech that there is a few slightly bent valves. But I was looking in to the autox rules and since my car could come in US with a b16 I can swap and maintain my car class. But I need to do ALL the upgrades that the Del Sol VTEC had VS. my Del Sol SI... Anyone out there got a good link or know enough to get me rollin'?

Just search for mods for the B16A and that is probably legal to do to your motor and then you can choose what to add to keep your class. The VTEC model also came with slightly bigger sway bars I believe.

bigger brakes, bigger sway bars, better radiator and some wierd bar that I don't understand near the firewall.
If you have a SOHC, that isn't an interference engine I don't believe, so another difference is that if you break a timing belt with a DOHC you're really in trouble.
