Default Crower Stroker Kit Install?

Anyone on here install a crower stroker kit on their B motor? I was wondering just how difficult it would be, and how you went about doing it. Will I have to pull the motor, or can I manage another route

Yeah? I was hoping to avoid that, I like the idea of working on as much of my car as I can. It sounds like a big project though, so yeah, maybe professionally.

do you know what a stroker kit consists of?

pretty much everything internally for your engine, not to mention alot of machine work.

If you do not know the first about building an engine, i would not even begin this project. I would have someone that knows what there doing take this on for you.

not a big project, but everything has to stay super clean and you have to know your ckearances and torque specs. i'd **** a brick if i spun a bearing on a crower kit...but that wouldn't stop me from trying

true, true. Haha, yeah I know it's replacing the internals, just curious on how difficult, or wondering if anyone has done it and could give me feedback.

like everyone else suggested. Bring it to a reputable machine/engine rebuild shop. Strokers are cool but not worth it IMO for a daily driven car. Its just not cost effective to stroke most engines (excluding chevy 383)

Should not be any more difficult than rebuilding a motor. I would not recommend you doing it if you have no experience with the internals of a motor. But if you have successfully rebuilt a motor, than go for it.

On some engines you have to machine the block to clear the longer rods

You can also stroke water cooled VW 8v engines cheap. They used the same block for the diesel, so you just use it's crank. If you bore it to the limit you can get it to like 3.6L or something. I have a friend who is a VW nut.
