When I step on the brake pedal while the car is moving, I hear squeaking in very short intervals. But it seems to be only coming from the drivers front side of the car. My buddy told me its worn brakes for sure, what u guys think???

 

some brake pads are good some are ****, all will squeak at some point. if you hear a constant noise when you step it may also be the wear indicator. pull the wheel and take a look. you don't want that wear indicator chewing away at you rotor for too long. or it could just be a cheap se of 15 buck autozone pads squeaking away

 

yeah, i had to get some of that anti squeak stuff the other day. i thought my pads where gone so i bought some new ones to replace mine, but when i check they all looked ok. so i returned the pads and bought the squeak stuff and that took care of my problems

 

take your wheels off and check your pads?

the short interval thing might have to do with ABS but i ain't sure bout that one.

 

Some pads (like AEM Nissin) squeak until they're warmed up. It doesn't mean anything is wrong. What kind of pads do you have?
