Should IAB valve be closed when engine starts.
I have B18C GSR that I just recently swapped into my 95 eh. I have the wiring hooked up and I don't think that that is my problem. I think that I have a vacuum leak in the system. All I need to know is, should the IAB diaphram be sucked into the closed position even if the IAB wasn't connected electronically.
I hope that made sense to you guys. I tried searching for this, but all of the questions that were asked involved the electricals. Any help with this would be greatly appreciated. Thanx.

I found that link myself and it still did not quite answer my question. Anyway, I doesn't matter I got the answer that I needed from a different source.
The answer that I came up with is that the IAB solenoid must have power inorder for the vacuum pressure to build up. So, to answer my question, even if there is no leak in the system; the IAB valve WILL NOT MOVE unless there is an electrical current going to the solenoid.
