Light weight 16" wheels
Hey everyone... I'm new to this board and have been reading a few of your posts. I just wanted to know if any of you know some competitors for the Mugen MF10's. From what I read, the MF10's are 12lbs a piece... pretty light. Are there any other brands (for 16"'s) that are around that weight or better but cheaper? The MF10's are going to cost around $2k.

weight for the sp00ns/regamasters are more like 8 or 9 lbs, so EP has some g00d advice...[EDIT: whoops..sorry..that's the 15inchers...
i'm gonna go hide in a hole now.]
can be had for $1600-1800 for the set, it seems, no tires...
but there's lots of fun choices out there...racing harts...blah blah blah...make sure you know whatcha want before throwing the cash around!
-k-b0t, who wishes he had a little more cash to throw around...

And of course there's the volk TE-37, i have pics of my car with these but our site is down right now, check back this evening. My 16x7 bronze TE-37s weighed in at 12.2 lbs, and they are remarkably well made, and from what I've heard are one of the stronger forged wheels.
Regamaster 16x7.0 5-114.3 45mm weighed in at 11.88 lbs on a calibrated scale.
Spoon SW388 16x7.0 16x7 5-114.3 45mm @ 11.82 lbs on same scale.
Regamaster 15x7.0 4-100 45mm @ 8.80 lbs same same.
So far, the wheels from Russia seem to hold the lightweight title. But, word is there is a new competitor on the block...more to come...

Here (the US) you can only get the type C in 15" and 17" for the R. It is sold exclusively through Tire Rack as the SSR Competition. I would have bought it a long time ago if I could have gotten it in 16"! The Advan RG looks almost identical though, but isn't quite as light, even though it is a true forged wheel.
SSR type C's all the way!!!!
I have the Gold one and they are 16x7 43et and weight in at 4.82 kg
