just wondering who's running an h23 crank in an h22, and are there any problems?
I'm building a new block now w/ sleeves, h23 knife-edged crank, crower rods, wiseco 90mm 14:1 pistons... Just waiting on the crank now.

You're knife-edging it? I really don't recommend that...did you ever see what happened to my H23 crank?

I used to run H23 Crank, Eagle Rods and JE Pistons...... The extra power isn't worth it. Unless you have an H23 Crank laying around, stick with what you have.

Okay, so lets say you have a full H22A block already. You build it, so you buy rods, pistons, and sleeve it. You already have the H22A crankshaft, so use it. Don't waste your money to spend a couple hundred on an H23A crankshaft.
Of course one could say, you spend a lot already, a couple hundred won't make a difference.
Eventually, the tensioner gave out and it bent the valves. The piston went bad, but the block is rebuildable. Just need to resleeve it and put in one new piston.
Now if you already had an H23A block, dats a different story. You have it, just use it. Find a H22A head and you're set.

what tensioner were you using...manual or hydro? I know a guy using this same setup that i'm going to use, and he's making 263whp and 191tq. I've already got the crank, I payed $150cdn
