i use a 22" resonator. its huge but it keeps the exhaust from making any buzzing/popping sounds.

thinkin bout tryin to install another smaller resonator somewhere to to make it real quiet. on my 2.5" setup.

I have a 18" thats what my muffler man recommended sounds fine to me, as long as it doesn't sound like a kazoo is strapped to the back of your car its all gravy

Where do your resonators sit? After the cat where you can't see it, or sitting sideways where the stock muffler sits?

I've got a 18" res. w/ 2 1/4" piping and magnaflow oval on my b18c1 and it's still a little loud for my liking. I'm thinking of adding something else, but I like it REAL quiet. Sleeper

Resonators are just parts of the exhaust that gets big and fat then small again, sort of hotdog shaped. Keeps the sound down. My HKS has a big one and its very quiet. I must say I like the quiet sound a lot more than my old exhaust.

the reason i asked is because magnaflow only have 14'' for 2.5 piping in stainless steel. I do want some sound but not too loud, hopefully as loud as thermal exhausts are. So I should get the 18'' one or the 14'' one? thanks....

i was gonna ask this question a while back, i have 2.5" crimp bent, straight through muffler and stock cat, can i get a resonator from summit or some place like it? The muffler shop near my house wants 60 bucks for the resonator and 25 to put it on, sounds a little high to me for the resonator.

Granted that mine is a race exhaust-BUT-we are using a CATCO 2.5 Hi-flow behind a DC header. After that there are 2 Meineke spiral tube glasspacks followed by 2.5" piping that exits under the car-this is very loud and if the exit is on the side would be even louder. Oddly it runs at about 100dB under 10 feet. You need to use something in place of the stock resonator as well as a muffler of some sort to get below 95dB.

To my knowledge, the Apexi WS is made for the 88-91 Civic ONLY, not the crx. Hope you didn' t buy the exhaust for the civic, because it's not gonna fit your rex.

And those pics, what are those mufflers/resonators? Are they quiet? And how much did it cost with installation? Thanks
