Oil in distributor?
Ok guys got another one? My 1992 Si was doing the famous prelude studdering and misfiring thing the other day (still is, new plugs and wires going on tomoroow), and I decided to check the points in the distributor cap. All good, nothing wrong there. I think the previous owner had just changed the whole assembly. Anyway, I noticed I had a small puddle of oil sitting in the bottom of the distributor. Would a bad cam seal let oil by? I'm not too familiar with the setup of the cam/seal/gasket setups on these yet, so bear with me. Is this anything major I should be keeping an eye on?
Thanks

Well I would guess that has to be that cam seal I don't know how else it could have gotton in there. It's not hard to fix. So I would just replace it when you have the time. Sooner the better.
It could also be the o-ring on the end of the dizzy that goes in the end of the cam, it may not be the actual cam seal on the head itself. Just another possibility.
when i had my h23, i had the same thing. i replaced the o-ring and the cam seal. I dont know which one it was but either way i didnt have the problem again
