Default stick a d15 or pay extra for a d16?

well i recently got that Civic EX 4dr, i know it has the d16a6 but the motor is blown. I have a d15 already so should i just stick that in there? or will be be really dogish? I can get ahold of a d16a6 for like 100 bucks should i just go ahead and do that? i don't plan on keeping this car so i don't care how quick it is. opinions?

Go with tha a6 for the fact that you'll have to convert back to DPFI...or convert the d15 but then that'll cost just as much as the a6....heh, so get the a6.

Just throw the D16 IM and distributor on the D15 and call it a day. Do it as cheaply as possible.

But he said he wasn't keeping the car and didn't care how fast it was. It won't be THAT much slower... maybe a few hp less

i just started it 10 minutes ago, it has a loud *** rod knock, not to mention a big hole right where #3 rod stuck through so no the block is no good, the head might be ok but if the rod hit the valves in number 3 then i'd have to get some valves.
but yeah i think i might as well go ahead and put in the d15, whats a 100cc's gonna make? lol

Dam Noob. You don't have to convert to DPFI to put in a D15. And its frick all to change to MPFI from DPFI in the first place. Bah EX is MPFI.... Why did I bother making this post? Noobs make it confusing for people....

Just change out the blocks. No wiring changes or anything of hte like. The only thing that could aid the D15 a little is the camshaft from the D16, if it wasn't damaged.

I've never heard of anyone running a mpfi setup on a dpfi engine....I'd like to see an mpfi ecu run a dpfi engine.
