what do i need to push my R into the 300 hp range more or less
basically im looking for a fast daily driven R. Going the turbo route is not exactly what I have in mind. I dont mind using NOS , but i'd rather do it NA to make it a little more fun. Then I'll hit it with some spray. What are you guys running to get your R's to the high HP land?
you wont get there without forced induction plain and simple.
i was there with boltons and 100 shot , and took that off and remained there on low boost on stock internals.
either way can be done , but one is more expoensive than the other

search.... it is your greatest ally
Seriously, if you want 300 HP you gotta go boost... practical limit for street driven N/A R's seems to be around 200 wheel HP (about 230 or so at the flywheel).
Oh, and forget about NOS - that's cheating (and it blows these motors sky high if not tuned correctly)
how's the beast doing Pete?
(his R friggin rOxOrZs!!!!)

cheating ! i dont know where your from but where i come from people run what they brung. it doesn't matter what's under the hood as long as you wanna run, and besides I've always lived by a saying that goes like this / win if you can , lose if you must , but ALWAYS cheat !!

well. you just said it, so make it a little easier and more realistic to achieve your goal.. meaning turbocharge it.
300whp can be done on stock motor.. but what i read its about where the limit is on stock motor - might need some parts upgraded/replaced.. you could use both turbo and nitrous to get there, or turbo alone. if you have a heavy foot, paying more money for turbo might pay off in a long run..
the only time i could find nitrous + turbo usefull, is when you don't want to upgrade to larger turbo and loose more of low end for daily driving, yet want that extra push every now and then..
its probably best to do some internals for that type of hp, or, if this your first time running such hp, you could lower your goals and go for less on stock motor.. if daily driven, you could still have fun with less whp setup..

Just decide what exactly you need 300 hp for
allmotor it could push an ITR into the 11 sec range but you'd
A: eat through your tires like no tommorrow
B: eat a hole in your fuel tank
C: eat a hole in your wallet with fix it tickets
There was a 97 ITR sponsered by JUN awhile back that made 280 hp allmotor. I think alot of people will remeber it in SCC when it was on the owner before and making 260 hp.
The owner of the ITR took me for a ride and it was reallly fast and streetable but boku duckets
however it was stolen
